January 2014: time to get my act (back) together! Focusing more on fitness this year and obsessing less on food. I will not feel guilty of I have a treat, but I do have to promise myself to work it off. Goal for this year is to drop 40lbs and get back into half marathon shape.

October 2013: After a lull in my spark activity, I am finding my way back once again. Spark has always been the place where I can get my head back in the game and find the encouragement to bring my fitness goals back to the front burner. It is good to be back.

Hello 2012. So far you have been good to me. You are the year of my first Half Marathon and the year I drop the last few pounds. You are the year I become a runner and hiker. You are the year I keep this weight off and become an athlete. Please cooperate with me 2012.

I am back again - this time 95lbs lighter. My focus now is to become a runner with the long term goal of the Disney Tinkerbell Half Marathon in January 2012.

I am finding my way back to Spark after a 209 day break. In that time I have continued my journey and have lost a total of 68lbs so far. Looking forward to reconnecting with friends here again.

Happy 2010. This is going to be my year. It will be my year to put my health first. It will be my year to finish my journey towards physical strength and emotional balance. It will be my year to enjoy the outdoors and get off the computer. It all starts with a Spark! Time to get back to business and reconnect...

After a frustrating 6 week plateau I have decided to invest in myself by working with a personal trainer. It has only been a few sessions, but I am really loving it. Hopefully I will see improvements not only in the scale number, but lower percent of body fat. I am doing this!

Time to update this page. I started my journey to lose my excess weight in the summer of 2008. At that time I set an incremental goal to lose 50 lbs by a major social event on Feb 7th 2009. I have been faithfully working my own Plan to get healthy, get focused, and get fit.

I am happy to report that 203 days later I have met that goal. Today I am officially 50.4lbs lighter! That is over 20% of my body weight.

I have never felt this good or been this excited about life in general. I owe it all to the support of family and friends, and to the support I have been receiving here at Spark!

Now for another 15-20 lbs by my 40th birthday in May...

I would like to not only fit in smaller attractive clothes in the regular women's department, but I would like to have toned muscles and more stamina so I can RUN!

Update May 2011. I am down 95lbs by watching calorie and carb intake, portion control, NO SODA, and exercise.



Personal Information:
Turned 44 this year and am finding it harder to stay fit and motivated. Hoping my coming back to SP can get me back on track.
