"One Day At a Time" has been my moto for most of my life. Somewhere along the way I forgot, your motivational e-mails have helped me remember. I will need all the support I can get. With Fibromyalga I quit moving years ago. The meds put weight on faster than anyone could imagine. I don't eat fast food or junk food, (cookies aren't junk are they :)). I enjoy cooking. I sing two days a week as a volunteer for senior's and for fund raising. The name of our group is the "Silver Threads". I don't have silver hair yet, but I know it's in my future. I spend a lot of time with these senior's and they have energy to dance and sing in their seventies and eighties. I want that for me ten to fifteen years from now. In the future I intend to Dance, Laugh and Love and continue Singing.
I'm one year into my program and am now setting new goals. Last year I could hardly walk and this year I'm dancing. My confidence has grown so much with the weight loss. I'm now Past President of the Silver Threads Senior's Club. Last year I even sang to them for Valentine's Day. In the past I was just a member of the Choir and had difficulty standing up and speaking. What a difference 42 Lbs can make.Dec 28,2010 I'm started over. Lost 58 Pounds and think I sabataging myself when I can see how much I've lost. Recording here so I can revisit if needed start weight 243. Well life happens and it's now 2013 and I've had a set back and am starting over at 200 lbs. Physio is working on my hip and I'm working on getting back to exercising and watching my intake of food.

My Goals:

Paint the bedroom furniture and walls.
Before snow comes back again I wanted to increase my walking to three times a day.2013
Get back to regular exercise routine of strength training. This week.
Be ready by fall to sing a solo.
Take part in the relay race for cancer in Sept.
Get back to my skis and skates for next winter.
Wear my purple gown for the red hat Christmas.
New goal get some pictures done and posted.


My Program:
Continue to track meals.
Pilates in the morning before anything else can distract me. Every other day.
Walk the dog daily, and explore new routes. Increase speed and distance. done and on going.



Personal Information:
I live in Durham, Ontario Canada. Have been single since 1991. Still sing with the Sliver Threads Choir. Volunteer at Rethreads store. Have recently became treasurer of USCO Zone 9.
Love animals, Have adopted a dog named Papu. English Cocker Spaniel. Papu is all charm and loves everyone and everything.
Goals reached: Got rid of the meds. Now have normal blood pressure. Down 3 dress sizes.
Walking without ankle pain.
Lowered my resting heart rate.
Adopted my dog.
I have a social life.(working on this)


Other Information:
I am a collector of mice. The smallest one is about the size of the finger nail on my little finger. The biggest is about eighteen inches. Other things I collect are spoons, thimbles, brass minatures. I read a lot but basically collect two authors James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell.
