Ahhh those sweet 99 days of summer,, well in Maine anyways as far as HOPING the temps are out of the low 60s, but NOT higher we HOPE than 89 ! WHen it hits above 90,, we simply melt like a snowflake in the spring!
Living in Maine affords us MANY things to do and eat. Maine definitely is a wonderful play to find out door activities and a SLEW of places to eat !! Our state motto: Vacation Land.
I'm FINALLY OUT of the cast ! YEAH ! YEAH ! YEAH !!! I can walk for approx 10 mins. I am being very compliant so i do the BEST by the foot. I did see the wound clinic this week,,,it however does like the wound is going to break back open. If this happens, all that can be done, has been done and it'll mean moving onto the next step of removing the big toe on the left foot. This will lead to more and more of the foot/leg being removed over time from new wounds opening up and not healing well. You get handed in life whatever comes ur way. I am a strong believer in the Bible (if you are not, I more than understand that, and most of all respect it !) in 1 Corinthians 10:13 it tells that God (From the research I did online ,, have come to believe he has a name of Jehovah (Psalms 83:18 in most bibles, or if read on the preface it often says why no name is given to God, often having to do with we don't know the actual pronunciation of) will not give us more to handle than we can. Some of us go through a LOT more than others,,, or is that really true? From anyone I've talked to, i'd NOT want to change lives with them. I KNOW Whatever happens ,, will happen and i will be able to handle it. In the past I had been severely depressed, and NEVAH EVAH want to go back to that !! I need to think positively !
To LOSE my 5% which will be approximately 11ish pounds. I DID lose the 12.? in the Wintah challenge and in the spring challenge I DID lose the 11.9 lbs !! YEAH YEAH YEAH !! I BARELY made the Spring one,,,, it was HARD ! So I NEED to Stay FOCUSED !! That's the HARDESt part for me,, so yes its a GOAL !
I know I need to stick to the 1200 cals diet I have worked on with my dietitian. I NEED to keep up and even IMPROVE on my veggie eating,,, I AM FINALLY eating some though,, just want over the summer to IMPROVE on this ! Will work on my snack as being such as well as dinner and breakfast (or it can be fruit for breakfast). My personal goal is to have 3 a day,, WAY UP From NONE !

To exercise 60 to 90 mins 7 days a week with walking or using my knee walker if Dr's wont allow regular walking. I NEED to start with ST !!! I have PLENTY of exercise equipment I KNOW Is FUN to do ! it's just remembering to do it !
To eat 3 to 4 servings of veggies a day. KNOCK OUT the candy down to 2 pieces a day (hard candy,, small little pieces). Keep protein between 60 to 70 gms. If going through surgery,, than the 70gms. I LIKE the AES (I think that right !) protein drinks. It's already made (I ougtha look to see if it comes in powder,, for it's getting expensive especially if I need 2 a day. That'll add up to 80 to 90 $$$ a month,, it's doable, but if I don't have to,, yeah.
I am a very stubborn person so when it comes to making a goal,, I PLAN ON SEEING IT THROUGH !! I am a very kind person so please don't allow that word "STUBBORN" bother you its only against myself.
I am OWNED by Izzy Ma Gizzy as MaryAnnGi) calls her,, she's a brown tiger kitty cat who had belonged to some SPARKS Pet groups, but yeah she's DROPPED most of the weight and I WANT both my tablet (of which she is TRAINED to know when she hears the BEEP of it turning on to COME so she can play the Mousey game. The mice run across the screen she goes BERZERK to catch them !!
I do have some grandkids, but they are now grown so they aren't around as they were when they were teens and had more feedom. My house was the gathering place,, I LOVED It of course, but yeah the little snicker dooo doo's DO grow up !! It's FUN thoough to text them. I NEED to text the older 2 to come and fix 2 chairs I own.

You have every right to be upset. I've found that Doctors don't listen too. It's your body they like playing God with. All the doctors agree with you now, except the head honcho who wants to show them all he is the greatest. And yet, he has no new plan in mind, but wants to try the same thing the others have tried already. Grrrrr
The statistics are one in three or four get osteoporosis after 65' I had osteopenia way back in early 50's, so knew I would end up with it. Yes, I'm taking a good bone supplement. It's actually called Bone Up. And it gives me reason to strength train again, which I should have been doing. Evidently walking is not enough for bones! It's a good thing that 3 to 4 days a week is good enough to strength train, because I now babysit my new granddaughter (turned 4 mos yesterday) three days a week. I will have to go after I visit my mom on the other days. Who said retirement was boring uh?
I've gained about 1.6 pounds. But am still in maintenance. You're right when you advise to stay with the inbetween group. They usually don't gain I'll probably do that again next time.
See you in the kennel, where all good doggies are. Do you have anyone that can go with you to the doctors and make them listen to you? Like a man? They seem to give men more respect.

I have been crazy busy over break. Missed a lot of days even checking in at Spark. Glad the challenge is starting again, it helps me be more consistent. So sorry to hear about your foot!! Hoping you are better soon.

You are so funny - me stay off the scale? I know not (I don't have to think not) - I weigh daily. I just don't always like the numbers, lol.
I make my coffee so weak, it's almost like flavored water. Even my kool-aid is only 1/2 strength at most and half-sweetened. I just like the water to taste a bit better. Sometimes I just use a pinch of Splenda in plain water. It's just to make it flavored. And, I still have some Milo flavors left - again, I don't use it full strength and during the day I mostly only add water to my cup, not the flavors so it dilutes it even more.
I have been drinking heated water for so long - I was in my late 20's when I started. It soothes my sinuses and just tastes good to me. Even just plain water tastes good to me hot.
Yes, I am ready for this challenge. I am still down 60 lbs so I really have no justification for feeling badly about regaining 30 lbs but the brain is stupid sometimes. If I had focused on me, my Ray might be gone already - it really is the only and best trade-off to keeping him alive.
94 and his brain is still mostly here and he is still ambulatory. Both are extraordinary in themselves.
I am not obese and I must settle for that right now and be thankful for my own good health. The only "silver lining" is that I seem to be able to hold this weight in spite of my binges. It moves around a few pounds but I'm in a holding pattern.
