Too often I think how different it would be if I knew then what I know now... Well TODAY is the THEN that tomorrow I'll be wishing I did differently. So it's time I starting DOING things differently - NOW. Maybe that's confusing to read but it's crystal clear to me.
Starting now, the lessons I've learned and continue to learn are going to be the driver for me to find contentment - in who I already am and in my ability to be something different if I want to be. If I'm unhappy with something I'll work to change it. I won't waste one more ounce of energy on regret. The future truly is what I chose to make it.

2016 Spring 5% Challenge Plan

Exercise Targets
* 30 Active Mins of Exercise Daily
* Yoga class once a week
* 10 mins of floor stretching any night I watch TV
Nutrition Targets
* Follow the Spark guidelines for calories, carbs, fat and protein
* Track every bite, every day
* Get 8 glasses of water in daily

I'm just focusing on one realistic weight goal right now - to get to ONEderland! Pushing to see 199 on the scale by the end of Summer 2016.

My Program:
Here is my plan.
I am not following any specific diet. I am tracking my food in SparkPeople and following the guidelnes provided there for calories, fat, carbs and protein. I am trying to focus on low carb foods.
However I am not going to go at this as fanatical as I have sometimes in the past.
I am going to be realistic and try to incorporate small changes slowly and permanently.
I am going to follow my husband's lead and take things One Day At A Time only.
I will be kind and supportive to myself.

Personal Information:

Happily married, Mother of two adult children.
56 years old and not minding that.
Would love to lose this extra weight for good.
Would love to take a flight of stairs without panting halfway to the top.
Would love to get my blood pressure in check without meds.
Would love to become fit, really fit.

Other Information:
Love to read.
Love to write.
Often wish we had no TV.
Like any chance to be creative - planning a party, making gifts, baking, decorating the house.

    Thanks! The 15000 steps happened because I used to work 2 jobs preschool aide and retail, I easily got my steps working that. When I quit the retail it was a little harder but I just make sure I move instead of sit or stand around. I have told myself that not getting my steps is not an option so that has meant a lot of walking in place watching tv at night.

    Glad to hear you are getting your groove back. And that you tried new stuff. I have a hard time with Kale too pokey. Yes thats me recovering from a stroke. Honestly its been tough, but I am really close to normal. I had a pretty good day today. Big changes are happening at my work so that helped my calorie count because my friend called just as I was starting to eat dinner and I only ate about half.

    Sorry your weight was up, most likely salt as you said. Monday was ok, found left over chinese from hubby and ate more than I wanted too, it was at least not deep fried.
    Today so far so good, have eaten pretty well. I also got some stuff done around the house and some stuff for work done.
