My Mom and I, while I was on the tour boat with her on the St.Lawrence River, the Summer of 2004
Nana & Baylee (8 months old) Summer of 2006
Diane & Cloey
I'm from northern New York, Cloey was my teacher when I was growing up. I'm one of 8 children and Cloey was my rock as my teacher and she still is.
I've been divorced forever, and my 2 girls are grown and married, Here are my 2 little granddaughters, Madison, & Baylee. There wonderful little girls.
Since I became disabled in 1999, from a bad TKR surgery, I became interested in Quilting, after being a chef all my life. So needless to say I've struggled with my weight forever, but since spring I have lost about 40 pounds and my goal is 100 more. I want to live to see my little girls grow up, and get healthy for myself, because I'm enjoying my life now, fishing and biking with my friend Sam.
So I'm looking forward to the help I'm going to need from Spark People
In April of this year I made up my mind to change my life, at my highest weight of my life @ 292 #, I started losing weight by watching my intake. Now on 8/10/06 I weigh 262 # so I''m on my way. My goal is to be well under 200 pounds by next summer. I want to improve my health, and to live to enjoy my life and my see my granddaughters grow up.
I am watching my calorie intake, and drinking no soda anymore, I''m just drinking lots of water.
I have started riding my bicycle again after a Total Knee Replacement nightmare, 7 years ago. I try to ride twice a day. Last weekend I rode 22 miles.
I feel the best I felt in over 10 years, and it''s going to get better.
Hi I''m Diane from Clayton, NY. in the 1000 Islands. Beautiful place to be right on the river.
My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org (because I quilt) that fits me
Cloey was my teacher while I was growing up, and we found each other again, when she walked into my church on day over 3 years ago,and we have been more like sisters since. I love to visit her in Toronto and love it even more when she comes to Clayton.
I became a divorced Mom of 2 girls in1984, whom are now grown and I have 2 beautiful little granddaughters, who are a big part of my life.
I worked in the Restaurant business all my life, I was forced to leave my love of cooking in 1999, when I had a TKR that failed.
I love to Quilt when I''m not fishing or riding my bicycle.
I''m also a breast cancer survivor and at our last Relay for Life Ralley we raised over $1000.00 on the quilt that I made.
Plus I''m a diabetic too!! But if anyone is and is not on Byetta yet, please let contact me it has worked so well on controlling mine.

So nice to meet you!
Can we see some pictures of you and your family? It would be nice to get to know you better.
Quilting is amazing. I am just a little over an hour from the Lancaster, PA area, and they are big on the Amish quilts there. My husband and I also visited the grange fair last month, and saw the quit competition exhibit. Such creative and beautiful pieces of art!
Keep in touch. You are doing so great!

Thanks for the welcome I'm looking forward to chatting with you too!!!
Cloey ask me to join this group, and she is a great friend of mine.
So I'm glad I did.
I'm babysitting this weekend for 3 kids, and Wow, I forgot how much work they are , but were having alot of fun too. I'm looking forward to Sunday night when their parents return. I watched them last year too at this time, and I'm 40 lbs. lighter than I was and it really made a big difference keeping up with them. I hope to keep loosing, my goal is a total of 125 lbs. by my birthday next year, so I have 11 months to do it. I'm determined to do it. I feel the best I've felt in years.
I'm taking all 3 of them fishing in the morning, their looking forward to that.
I caught an 18 1/2 in largemouth and 5 pounds, last wed. it gave me quite the fight, but I won he's in the freezer. I really love to fish, and I have a river basically in my back yard.
