Need to vent a little, but first...Who, hoo! We are doing great! Did want to check in with you and see how your journey is going. Hope you are happy with your success and dealing with your disappointments. They will soon become success, too! I still haven't gotten into that exercise state of mind, but I think that will be my next major hurdle to accomplish since I actually reached into the top end of the 140's today!!! Yay! Now the venting...my daughter was in a serious car accident on Valentine's Day, so that was a big scare! She is beaten, battered, bruised and very sore, but alive! She was hit 3 times on the freeway, so her car is totaled and she is very sad about that. I'm dealing with the insurance co. of the person who caused the accident and we all know how stressful that can be. I'm sure it will take awhile to get all that settled. We lost a 19 yr old dear friend in December to a drunk driver and I feel blessed that even though the accident was serious my daughter survived. I'm concerned about her injuries and her emotional state since she got hit from the rear, spun 180 into oncoming traffic and then got hit head-on sliding into the shoulder where she got hit one final time by a passing car who was unable to stop in time. So, her body did suffer a lot of trauma and those injuries, especially spine injuries seem to never go away as we get older. I'll check in again in a few weeks and let you know how we are doing. Thanks for letting me vent! Hope you are enjoying you weekend!

Welcome to SP! Great progress already! I am also a recent member (from Jan 12th) and have really enjoyed the support and encouragement very much. As I skimmed your page and your teams, I noticed we have a few things in common and I just wanted to stop by and offer you a buddy or just someone to vent to about anything. Stop by my page and let me know how you are doing. I know we can do this. Good Luck to us!!

Hi and welcome to SparkPeople and the SP Class of January 6-12, 2008!
We're the LARGEST TEAM in SparkPeople. I'm hoping that we will have the largest number of PARTICIPATING team members as well!
If you aren’t already, start recording everything you eat in the Nutrition Tracker, don‘t worry too much about ‘dieting‘. You'll probably notice that you're getting WAY too much sodium and not enough protein and fiber. If you're an 'emotional eater' record in the Nutrition Tracker notes what 'set you off' to a binge etc. Also, start using the Fitness Tracker for exercises. There are various levels of exercises for you to choose from in there to help you get to your goals.
Also if you aren't already, start incorporating at LEAST 8-8 ounce glasses of water every day. Your body requires that as a minimum just to sit in front of the TV all day. For every hour that you sweat you loose a quart of water ... that's FOUR CUPS. So, it's important to hydrate and REhydrate your body throughout the day.
Participation is a great motivator. Catch up on the team threads - we’ve been pretty busy over there!

***
If you've got questions there's a thread on this team called POPULAR QUESTIONS where you can review - see if your question has already been posed - or you can ask a new one! BEFORE you ask, please try to search the site yourself.
(TIP: easy way to search the page - hit the CTRL button and the 'F' key (find) and type in the word you're searching for)
***

It’s all about WILLPOWER, DESIRE and DETERMINATION!
Good luck on your weight loss goal and your quest to a healthier lifestyle!

Hello Diana, Thanks so much for adding me as a friend, & that I will try to be as best I can! I read that you too have lost before & like me have gained some back... It happens but I figure it's because for all them times that I've lost... I never stuck to a plan so the weight managed to come back & then some! You really don't look like you have much to lose... but I wish you well on your journey & keep in touch!

PS. Great Pics..
Love the one at the restaurant.. I've been there quite often, really enjoy them Grande Margaritas ;-)
