I want to lose weight to be healthy, which requires I make a lifetime change in my eating/exercise habits.
This week's goals are to get back on track by eating 3 meals per day.
Currently I'm working on getting 1200 calories in per day. I am using the Spark People menu.
I enjoy walking, gardening, quilting, knitting, creating flower arrangements and wreaths.
When I'm not subbing I am writing a novel. I'm up to 200 pages!
I love historical fiction books. Some of my favorite movies are: In Harms Way, The Quiet Man, Casablanca, All the President's Men, You've Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, Lake House, Little Women, Notting Hill, Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, The Sum of All Fears, Russia House, Murphy's Romance...to name a few!

The doctors very seldom tell you about what to eat. Most people have to find out what works for them. I can't help you there since I am not a diabetic. I do know that the diabetic site is now saying that you need to watch out for the processed foods and to eat more vegetables and fruits. I think that the American diet has too much grains in them and that we need more vegetables and fruits in our diet and not all that grains like they say. If you look at how diabetes has grown in this country you will see that it grew as with the eating of more grains. I am a history buff and like to read all kinds of thing on history.
