As many of you are, I have different roles. A daughter, wife, sister, mother, a nana and a friend. Now, I am beginning a new phase of my life, exploring fitness and nutrition and taking some time for me. I get excited over taking challenges on and succeeding. I just walked my first 5K in October 2012 and I am finally enjoying exercise. I am looking forward to what God has in store for me will be good I am sure of it!

Fitness Minutes: 6,842

My Goals:
Short Term Goal: To exercise every day for 10 minutes - part of Streak into Spring. Longer Term Goal: To walk 5K again by my birthday of August 10th. I am recovering from broken ankle and finding it hard to get going again. I love walking though and 30 minutes is a bit much for me now so trying to do 10-15 minutes every day. Long Term Goal want to be under 200 lbs. Drink more water - currently not doing so well on this but I am gonna do it!

My Program:
Sparkpeople of course plus support of my husband. Taking part in weigh and measurement at work and also lunch and learn sessions at work about nutrition, health stuff etc. My faith is so important to me. I am going to do devotions to help me lose weight and depend on the Holy Spirit to help me. Yup, I am a Christian!

Personal Information:
Born in Montreal, P.Q., moved to Ontario as a young child. Proud Canadian! Married to my hubby (He is a keeper!) with a son, daughter in law and two wonderful grandkids, work full time in health care - Human Resources. Attend a wonderful church and volunteer there. I have been mentored and am now mentoring a co-worker. Always wanted to be a teacher, but filled that need through teaching Sunday School, Pioneer Boys etc.

Other Information:
I love to sing and I make up songs to help me remember Bible verses. Some are just little choruses others are bigger. I am a lifetime learner and am currently learning a new program at work called OneNote.
I can't wait to go to my favourite park in the spring and hear the brook babbling! I love the water, especially seeing Lake Huron in all of its expanse.

    It has been very nice out today, though I haven't been out yet. My computer is where
    I can look out and enjoy watching the birds at the feeder, and often two squirrels
    chasing each other. Also have a view of one of my garden tower planters. Lots of herbs
    and some flowers. Being able to "garden" from my power chair is a real blessing.
    That reminds me I was going to go out to water so better do it before I forget. Lots of
