Struggling College Student

I'M BACK!!! Like most people, I gained the stereotypical Freshman 15. This past summer I worked really hard and lost it all plus an extra 5 lbs. Sadly, as I've gotten back to school I have been falling into old habits and I had gained 10 lbs back over a semester. I refuse to lose all the hard work I did over the summer and decided I needed a big change in my efforts to stop myself from gaining all the weight I lost back. I have been focusing on small achievable goals and modest weight loss so that I don't get burned out like I did last semester after losing 20 lbs on Nutrisystem. Wish me luck! I'm back to tracking and as we all know that means back to losing.

Hey girl! I read a couple of your blog entries and can totally relate to you. I have more weight to lose than you do but your reasons to lose are so similar to mine. Maybe we can be weight loss buddies and help each other out. Let me know if you're interested!

There are many Spark Teams for College Students - I would suggest you hover your mouse over Community in the Orange Tool Bar and then click on Spark Teams. Type in College and check out some of the teams. People going through what you are going through can support you best!

Here's the video for the Nutrition Tracker - the best tool online!

I was 54 when I joined SparkPeople and 56 when I came back and started my Spark Program, starting with Stage One. This is a one day at a time program, but if you do the SparkPeople Program Steps, it really does work. I am terribly average, it's the SP program that is extraordinary.

I found logging my foods in the Nutrition Tracker helped me to lose 90 lbs in 16 months! I started at 210 and went to 120.

I hung clothing that was too small on my closet door and every time I would get discouraged I would try them on. Week by week they started fitting! That kept me motivated.

Welcome aboard, we really are all in the same boat! Sometimes we can sail right along but sometimes we have to be rowing like crazy!

You can make it happen! SparkPeople really does work!
