Me at my heaviest, I think it was around 293, shortly before moving to Vegas.
After over a decade of putting weight on, I am finally making a lifestyle change! I have a lot of weight to lose, and it's going to take a long time, but I am ready for it. I am ready for better health, nutrition, and an active lifestyle (and a slimmer, more fit me!).
To lose weight, be more active, eat healthier foods, practice yoga regularly, get into hiking (maybe biking), feel more positive about my self-image, and help influence others from my weight-loss success!
I am eating a low-calorie, low-carb diet, with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies (and water!). I practice yoga 5-7 times per week, and do some form of cardio training 3-5 times per week, whether it be a rigorous day in culinary school, or at-home exercising with my boyfriend (we have routines and go on brisk walks or hikes).
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but moved to South Lake Tahoe, CA as a teen. I lived in Tahoe until just over a year ago when my boyfriend and I moved to Las Vegas for me to attend Culinary School at the Art Institute. I am currently in the Associate Degree program for Culinary Arts, and am thinking about going for my Bachelor's Degree in Food & Beverage Management. I LOVE food and cooking, and am having a lot of fun by being challenged in my own kitchen with making delicious and nutritious meals.
