Mama and me. She's my biggest fan and my hero all rolled into one. :)

I have a beach vacation this summer. I want to feel GOOD while I'm on the beach. I want to make it an active vacation!

This is the Chinese symbol for determination. I have it tattooed on the inside of my left ankle. I see it every morning when I'm putting on my shoes. It inspires me to stay focused, stay determined and keep going. :)

My Goals:
My long term goal is to be a size 8/10 and around 150 pounds. That puts my BMI right in the middle of "healthy weight" for my height.
My Program:
Lots of water. Healthy food choices. Healthy portions. Exercise/stretch daily. Visualization: every morning before I get out of bed I lay there with my eyes closed and visualize myself at my goal weight, prepping for Hawai'i. It motivates me to make good choices throughout the day.
Personal Information:
After teaching for 14 years I left the traditional classroom for a different kind of education. I work for a non-profit teaching adults and youth at risk for type two diabetes. I teach health and nutrition and the importance of exercise. Now that my job is to talk the talk, I need to walk the walk. When I'm not working or working out I'm probably knitting, scrapbooking, reading or watching movies or TV on DVD. I also enjoy watching sports, especially my San Antonio Spurs or the Ohio State Buckeyes!
