Determined to Succeed!

Weight has always been a battle for me and Spark has been a helpful place to keep me focused on my health journey. It does help having others who truly understand how hard this really can be and I love my SP teams and friends!

I went on "Shape Reclaimed" through a Nutritionist in October, 2013 and lost 87 lb. by March, 2014. It quit happening so I went off program mid July, 2014 and am back to doing it the normal way to get the last 40 lb. off. I don't regret the huge jump ...

I went on "Shape Reclaimed" through a Nutritionist in October, 2013 and lost 87 lb. by March, 2014. It quit happening so I went off program mid July, 2014 and am back to doing it the normal way to get the last 40 lb. off. I don't regret the huge jump start I gave my health at all after years of doing the right thing and not having results because my adrenals, thyroid and pituitary weren't working properly.

I have to constantly work at reminding myself that I am worth it as self-esteem was trashed during childhood. I know I am, but the bad stuff is easier to believe sometimes.

In August 2014 I signed back up with the gym I had gone to prior (had to take most of a year off for the Shape program) and committed to time with a trainer 2x/week for six months. Making me a priority in this!

All year long we focus on Healthy eating and moving the body to become fit. We do this for a chance to live life to the fullest. This fullness is to be shared at the dinner table at the holidays, not by what you put in your belly, it is to be measured from the joy you receive from being grateful for one more year with your loved ones. We do not get a guarantee to have another year with everyone you see, so make the most of the moment, and leave the worries for another day. Happy Holidays to you my Friend!

Just caught your question about Piper. She is about the same. We have her on two meds and for the most part she is staying quiet but she wants to play in the snow so bad. We don't believe this is an injury though so we are looking at long term care I think to keep whatever inflammation and pain is going on in check as long as possible in hopes that further intervention isn't required. If she was a basset hound this would be so much easier to deal with but she is a very active shepherd so its completely different than when Anre hurt his back.
