Begin ... the rest is easy.
I joined SP in January of 2010 at a weight of 330+ lbs because I was tired of not being able to do anything. I couldn't fit in the chairs at the movies, or ride a roller coaster, or even walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like I was going to die. In the last two years, I have lost over 130+ lbs using SP and an array of workouts. What's even more amazing is the transformation I have seen in me as a person - I've become driven, hard working, an optimist, athletic, and most importantly, incredibly happy. While the numbers on the scale are a wonderful motivator, the feeling of truly being able to live with, and love myself far surpass the weight loss euphoria. I am an ecstatic supporter of SP - if you work hard, stay positive, and ask for support, you will succeed! I fell in love with running in the summer of 2010. My younger brother is my biggest cheerleader - he is also my trainer/running partner. We have run almost every race together. For 2012, I am planning my biggest challenge yet - Tough Mudder. "Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up. " — Dean Karnazes, ultrarunner. My Program:
I love to exercise, but hate the calorie tracking. I am learning to track what I eat. Food wise, I eat a lot of turkey, vegetables, fruits, whole grains and very little red meat. I gave up soda (diet too) in 2010. I drink a ton of water and tea. As far as exercise, I like to switch it up. I have done Sweatin to the Oldies, Taebo, Turbo Jam and P90X in the past. I am currently on a Turbo Fire kick. I love to play sports - especially softball, volleyball, and ice hockey. I just picked up p90X2 , so I am excited to start that in 2012. If SP has taught me anything, it's the fact that losing weight is not just a physical battle. Your mind and heart have to be in it as well. The support system I have found on SP is profound. I have the most supportive family and friends in the world as well!! Support and motivation are the keys to success.
