Appreciating the Spark People

Nope, it wasn't an accident that I wrote "the" spark people; I was referring to all of you: all of you who choose to log onto this site and share with me every day. I needed that to get started, and I've been making myself read about you all every day--your successes, your backgrounds--and I LOVE looking at your progress pictures!

My struggles are with me, myself, and I. I've had a love affair with junk food my entire life. While I've been blessed to not be obese in spite of my poor eating, I've always wanted to wear a bikini, and I never have. And as if I were obese, I too have shied away from attending certain events and activities, and seeing people in my past, because of weight that I gained, or because I wanted to wear something awesomely sexy but could not wear what I wanted, or because I knew other women with incredible bodies would be there, and I couldn't take the pressure of knowing that I was not one of the incredibles--forget whatever else I have going for myself!

Anyway, I am just getting started, and I still have to renew my mind every day, so I SINCERELY appreciate all of you who motivate me with losing two, three, and four times what I have to lose--yes, YOURS are the stories that I read because my habits have been that bad and that long, and my mentality has me feeling like this is impossible. So I read from you every day. And I haven't had a candy bar, cookie, piece of cake, or ice cream in more than a week. And that is awesome--THANKS TO YOU!!!

Thanks for the goodie and the words of encouragement. No, I am not a pastor's wife, but I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. It's by His power that dwells within that keeps me on this life style change. I started the change in prayer and I continue daily in prayer. Taking most of my decisions to HIM in prayer, allowing it to be confirmed that I am taking the route HE has for me. I figured the LORD created me, so HE knows what's best for me.

I like you love reading others story of transforming. They are motivating. I like to keep it real and enjoy reading real to life stories that include failures.

I am two years into my life style health change and Phase 2. I am enjoying the changes.

Transforming from the inside out......

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I am far from achieving total food control, but it was a baby step.
