41 and Fabulous

Salutations! I'm a divorced mother of four awesome children. I work part-time at the local public library as a circulation clerk. I am also going to school part-time. Right now I am working on a Bachelor's in General Studies with a minor in History. I hope to graduate in late spring of 2014. After that I plan to get a Master's in Library and Information Science. I'm in a wonderful relationship.

I'm in a wonderful relationship.

After struggling with depression for most of my life, I am in a good place now and happier than I have ever been. The only thing that could make it better would be losing weight, having more energy, and reaching optimal health so that I can be truly "41 and Fabulous."

Update as of 12/10/13: I was going to rewrite this intro, but nothing much has changed since I wrote it. I weigh a little less than I did. I'm struggling with depression a little more than I was. Everything else stands. I've been off SP for months. I'm trying to renew my effort to be healthy and lose weight. I'm worried about being able to stick to it, but I'm also excited about the possibilities.

My Goals:
Make my health one of my highest priorities.

Lose 52 lbs by June 21, 2014

Make fruits, veggies, and whole grains the bulk of my diet with minimum amounts of processed foods, meats, and sweets.

Get enough sleep.

Exercise everyday.

My Program:
Set aside other priorities and activities when necessary, instead of pushing my health to the side at the slightest excuse.

Limiting calories.

Gradually replacing meat, processed foods, and sweets with fruits veggies and whole grains.

Stick to a consistent bed time and wake up time.

Walking on the treadmill -- to be expanded later.

Other Information:

Cooking -- including trying new recipes and tweaking old and new recipes.
