Balance is the key

first off, none of these pics are mine, they are motivational---this is how i would LIKE my abs to look;-) now about the REAL me...
i'm vegetarian since the last 15 years (no eggs, fish, meat) occasional dairy is ok. unfortunately i do have a sweet tooth, so i tend to add extra sugar to my tea/coffee.
i recently gave up my diet soda. yayyy for me!! and have started drinking at least 8 glsses of water daily.
also exercising at the gym again regularly since Dec15/06, planning to ...

also exercising at the gym again regularly since Dec15/06, planning to go 3X/week for strength training and 5X/week for cardio. plus a goal of going from 136 to 125 lbs by feb 28/07.
i'm 38, with a 9-year old daughter, and i find my energy level is just not what it used to be, plus every year seems to add on a few extra pounds. this has got to STOP!!
i pledge to take charge of my life and my eating habits. a new year, a new beginning 2007....wish me luck and all the best to you! cheers!

Congrats on giving up Diet Soda..... that would be a huge thing for me to give up! I have cut back drastically on my diet soda intake. I was drinking 4 to 5 cans a day, now I am down to one. So when I grow up I hope I can give it up completely!

Hey Desi, nice page :) I love your pics and the idea of wanting your abs to look like that. I can so relate! I was just about there two years ago, but then started puttig on my happy fat. lol

hey thanks for the advice and the good words. have you been able to lose weight? i have been yo-yoing but am determined to stick to it. SP and buddies are so important in keeping one on track...even if u slip they help u right back!!!

hi, just found you on one of the pages. are you by any chance desi?? if yes then may i ask how are you tracking the desi food you eat?
would love any help u can give.
PS: i am 31 yr old and want to lose at least 50lbs before planning for my 1st baby.
