70 pounds to go...
Back on Spark yet again, this time with 70 pounds to go. Yikes! Not sure how that happened. Well, that's not true I guess. I think I know how that happened - too much work sitting all day, not paying attention to what I eat, and not enough working out. Yep - it's the trifecta! Some basics - I'm a 30 something living in the Denver metro area and I love it here. My goal is to get fit enough to do the things I love without feeling like I'm going to keel over ...
Back on Spark yet again, this time with 70 pounds to go. Yikes! Not sure how that happened. Well, that's not true I guess. I think I know how that happened - too much work sitting all day, not paying attention to what I eat, and not enough working out. Yep - it's the trifecta! Some basics - I'm a 30 something living in the Denver metro area and I love it here. My goal is to get fit enough to do the things I love without feeling like I'm going to keel over (hiking) and to be able to do things I know I would love too (rock climbing is my biggest goal - definitely what I'm working for the most). I read a quote somewhere on SP that said (paraphrasing now) that too often we give up what we want tomorrow for what we want right now. That's my ultimate challenge this time around - remembering that what I'm working towards is way more important than eating something "exciting" right now and is also way more important than the fleeting annoyance I feel at putting on my gym shoes instead of allowing myself to sit on the couch and surf the internet and watch TV. I'm here, and I'm going for broke. 70 pounds to go, one pound at a time. I can do this. We call can. :)
