Hi. I'm not very good at this weight loss thing. I have been dieting for years and not really making a dent. for the past 6 months or so I've been trying to eat around 1200 calories, but I was shocked last week when I went to the dr. and had gained 20 lbs. from my visit 3 months ago! Hi. I'm not very good at this weight loss thing. I have been dieting for years and not really making a dent. for the past 6 months or so I've been trying to eat around 1200 calories, but I was shocked last week when I went to the dr. and had gained 20 lbs. from my visit 3 months ago! So, now I"m trying to stay between 600 and 700 calories a day. It's really a challenge, but I just can't stand to gain any more weight! This is my second round w/ Spark people. Last time I didn't really lose weight, but I need somewhere to track my calories and this seems like as good a place as any to do that. My general goals are: 600-700 calories per day, walk during my lunch hour on workdays (at least once around the trail, twice if I can take a full hour at lunch), walk or ride my bike for 30 minutes before dinner.

I have been counting calories for several months and not losing very fast so I'm joining Sparkpeople to get new ideas and incentive. I am also working out for at least 1 hour a day, doing various exercises. I try to do 30 min. of strength training every other day and 1 hour of cardio every day.
