    Hi Sparker! emoticon

I buy a value pack of fresh boneless chicken breast (about $10 at Walmart). I will fillet it all up (quicker cooking time), and then Iíll measure out my correct 3.5 oz portion sizes on my food scale. Each correct portion will go into it's own Ziploc snack baggie, and then I will freeze in groupings of 5/7 per quart size bag. I can get anywhere from 18-20 (sometimes even more depending on the size of the breast) servings. Just $10 for 20 days of chicken breast for 1 person to eat on is not too bad at all. And, itís lean protein! Thought I'd share that with you since your looking for budget friendly ideas!

Hope itís some help, and keep working the program, because it works! emoticon

Always here to help, and best wishes!!

    Welcome to the Spark World.
I saw your post in regards to eating on a budget. Somethings I can help with I will add below.

    1. If you can cook, do it. Even if you make homemade soups or checkout the Spark Recipes and you modify to your liking that is great.
    2. Veggies and Fruit: even if you have to do frozen, that is okay too. Just make sure you are adding them into your daily life. Most of the time you can get them pretty reasonable.
    3. Plan your meals, I do that most days, and I also encorporate the leftovers into another meal. Last night I made Fiesta Taco Pot Pies, and the rest of the meat dish, I added to some rice and made enchiladas. :)

Take it one day at a time, the weight did not come on in one night, so take it slow.

    Good Luck.
