Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I wasnt always over weight, I have had 4 children, two failed marriages, and yes my self esteem has suffered a great deal. But now im in a happy relationship and I need to make sure that my outside shows that happiness.
Im open to help, and yes i need it. lol but im going to use laughter and this crazy positive outlook i have to get through it, and with help from those on Spark People, I am SOOOOO READY for this..
i was not over weight as child. but now i am so i have to be an adult about it, my ultimate goal is to loose 50 pounds,
since i have been so stationary for so long, ive chosen to walk, and use an elliptical trainer, weights and bands..
44 years old. im almost 45 ( net month) last spring i dropped 22 pounds, i was soo happy just to do that, and when winter showed, i was stuck inside unable to do my walks that i loved doing so much. now..ive gained all but 10 of my 22 pounds.. my job is one that is not very active, and my work mates well.. are not so active either... id love to find someone who can talk with me, coach me through and get me to where i want to be, its hard when you dont have a support system...
Secrets of Success
This user doesn't have any secrets of success.
Welcome to SP--you're off to a great start here. Keep posting and tracking daily. Setting up your own Spark page so we can get to know you is a great help. And remember, we're all in this together. We help one another to get to the goal of a healthy weight and lifestyle. Together WE CAN DO IT!!
One thing you said troubles me. You said "I eat when I can." That tells me you're not putting a high enough priority on your healthy lifestyle. You really NEED to plan your meals and snacks and take time for eating--not just 'when you can'. Personally, I find that I do better if I have 3 small meals and 2 or 3 snacks (usually a piece of fruit or slice of toast with honey or a few nuts) between the meals--never more than 3 hours between some kind of food. When I go off this planned schedule, my eating is less healthy. I am not able to walk at all (20-30 feet at a time is good for me) due to injuries and mobility issues, but I can do exercise from my chair and do that daily. Even with my issues, I've been able to lose 80 lb. and am still losing. Join some teams of people with similar interests and I'm sure you'll find lots of support. YOU CAN DO THIS! You're worth it. And SP has lots of great supportive people here to help you.

Welcome to the EE team!!
I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!
Check out the main page of the EE team- there are “stickied” topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post.
Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!
You are- WONDERFUL-cuz you’re you!!! BELIEVE IT!!! operationbeautiful-- END THE FAT TALK!!!
~~best of luck to you on all of your goals!!!
