So I'm back. I am sorry to have been gone so long, but life happened. (Yes, I know, that's a shocker.) I did a good job of maintaining my weight for a while after I left. And then, things went wrong with my job, I got depressed, and gained quite a bit of the old weight back. I have a new job, and despite being ridiculously busy, some of the things that got me depressed and caused the weight gain are gone. So I am excited to start working to get in shape again, excited about ...
So I'm back. I am sorry to have been gone so long, but life happened. (Yes, I know, that's a shocker.) I did a good job of maintaining my weight for a while after I left. And then, things went wrong with my job, I got depressed, and gained quite a bit of the old weight back. I have a new job, and despite being ridiculously busy, some of the things that got me depressed and caused the weight gain are gone. So I am excited to start working to get in shape again, excited about a lot of things going right in my life right now, I look forward to seeing all my old SparkFriends again!! I have two primary motivations. First, to set a good example for my children. I want them to see how to live a healthy life. But also, I want them to see that it is ok to make changes when something isn't working. Second, I need to do this for me. I need to get healthier, and in that, the actual weight is almost a secondary concern. I have asthma, and right now, it is worse than ever. I have found previously that working out regularly helps me to keep it under control, and my doctor says that countless studies agree that exercise does help with asthma. Which means that I have to get moving again, plain and simple. So here we go, glad to be started again!

My Goals:
To get back to 155 pounds, also to just generally get healthier again.
My Program:
I am already very good about drinking 8+ glasses of water a day and eating 5+ servings of fruit & veggies per day. Currently, I am really focusing on exercising at least 5 days each week.
Personal Information:
I live near Raleigh, NC, with two beautiful children and a loving & supportive husband. Most importantly, I firmly believe that if God is with you, no one can stand against you.
