A grandma wanting to "shape up". I love cats, God and friends and especially my husband and kids and grandkids and not in that order!

I struggle daily with diabetes and polymyalgia and possibly fibromyalgia. A bummer that makes it hard to exercise! But I am determined to do the best I can with God's help and the help of all my Spark buddies!

My Program:
I am watching my food intake more closely then ever and exercising when I can for as long as I can which is sometimes very difficult with polymalgia and possible fibromyalgia. Working through the pain with my best friend, Carol we are spurring each other on to exercise and keep our joints moving.

Other Information:
I am a genealogy buff and doing a lot of genealogy scrapbooking to accompany the records. In between I read.

We haven't seen you around the NE AR Sparks Team lately so I thought I would pop in and say Hi. emoticon Francie (Francie-N-Bella) has become a co-leader, and we are making many changes to the team. We even have a new logo. We miss you and hope that you will stop in soon and see what we've been up to and help Spark us up!

Hope that you're having a successful month and accomplishing your goals.

Just stopping in to let you know that I am back...I have been away from Sparkpeople for awhile now and I am sorry that I left. This is a wonderful place to interact with people who really understand where I am in life and know all about my struggles...people who really "get" me. Anyway, just wanted to check in so that you wold know I am here. I have updated my page so that my current info is up and added some current photos as well. Hope to hear from you soon. Much love and "losing" blessings...Connie

I saw your comment on the Northeast Arkansas Team page. Are you settled in AR?

You mentioned having difficulty exercising. Have you tried the City Pool? When I first started going, I spent most of my time walking in the water.

Happy Sparks to You!
Rhonda

i saw ur comment on another page about ur cats and dogs getting along. how did they end up getting along??? i've had a siamese for a little over a year. he's my baby (sleeps with me, follows me around the house, etc.) he thinks he's a dog (plays fetch, plops on the ground and puts his legs in the air so you can rub his belly, etc.)... but my bf just got a 1 yr old boxer a few days ago. he brought the dog over to meet my kitty, but my cat was NOT having it. i've only seen him hiss once when we got him and his paw got stuck on something and he was in pain... but my little man hissed at this dog like there was going to be a war. we kept the dog on a leash and he didnt mind the cat... but u could tell he just wanted to run up to him and play. i had the dog on a leash in the living room and the door open to my room so my kitty could come out and explore on his terms. eventually he came out, sat on the floor, and watched the dog for a while, but never came up real close. he moaned a few times, btu didnt hiss anymore... so i dont know. i know it'll take time, but how did u first introduce your animals to eachother when they hadn't been brought home at the same time??? my cat is kind of skittish and will run back to my room when company comes over, whcih is why i was so surprised that he hissed at the dog and didnt just run. he gets along with my roommates rabbits, but was probably afraid b/c the dog was so big. i feel like the dog and my cat are stepsiblings. lol. i just want them to get along so there aren't problems next year when my bf and i move in together.
