Getting there....again!

I just turned 60! Don't know how it happened because I still feel 35. I want to be the best 60 yy I can be and that means losing the weight I've been carrying around the past 4 or 5 years

I am committed to losing 40# and making my health my number one priority!

Hi Deka, Welcome to SparkPeople! And thank you for the Potted Plant Goodie. I've added you to my list of friends. Losing weight at this age is challenging, but not impossible. I'm finding that I HAVE to exercise. And I need to journal all calories in and out to be sure that I am burning more calories than I am eating. My weight has come off slowly, but I'm hoping it will be more likely to stay off for the rest of my life.
Feel free to ask questions, or share frustrations. Hugs, Barb

Welcome to low carb living! Like you, I lost weight using SP before discovering low carb. Whole other animal. I'm not dieting anymore, just fine-tuning how I eat. So much better than dreaming of the day I could add 500 calories a day back to my life!

Thank you for spending the time to read my blog - I think having just put that blog together - the first time I have actually put the developing story together like that and now the penny has dropped - and I am beginning to realise what I have done!! So - I'm just a bit slow in the uptake!! LOL!!
However it has proved one thing to me that if I can do it anyone can do it and you will find that the results are way beyond your wildest dreams!!
