Starting afresh - Just one more time. After being Cyber Stalked i had to get rid of all my internet past and start afresh My sister started me on Sparkpeople and we have lost aproximatly the same amount of weight - she did it through spark people - she has amazing abs and looks fantastic - I am so jealous. I cheated - my weight loss journey my entire life has been cheating. I first started seriously dieting at 16 - I weighed 65kg and felt huge - looking back i was always a relativly slender child - it was only from 16 (when i started dietng that i started to become big) dont get me wrong my amazing "1 diet coke a day" diet worked wonders and i got down to 52kg the smallest I have ever been. I was also very unhealthy from there i slowly went up and up to 83kg before i started a combination of lite and easy and gloria marshal (for the fitness) for my wedding when i dropped back to 72kg Then i slowly went back up to 87kg and my doctor prescribed Duromine and the Atkins diet which brought me down to 83 again then i got pregnant. Sure that i was going to breatfeed my weight away once she was born i consumed like there was no tommorrow - and it showed - when my daugher was born i was 93kg this is when i started the gym - aqua aerobic - lost a bit gained fitness but by my second child I was the heaviest i have ever been 98kg I joined up with my health funds "healthy weight for life" which consisted of weight loss shakes and a portion control "template" And i got down to 83 kg (again its a magic number :( Then i had my breast reduction - which showed the waist i was hiding under my boobs That wasnt a weight loss decision that was an OMG i am a 16L and would like to be a 16DD because my boobs are ridiculous - but it did mean that i could start running and completed teh C25k- at the same time i started the DUKAN diet and lost that lrst 10kg to bring me down to 72kg that was feb this year since then i have slowly crept up to 74kg - I am eating badly and while still exersizing and my fitness is great I now find i have not learnt anything and i need to learn - now how to diet but how to live day to day - to eat healthy and maintain an equilibrium - so I am starting fresh
LOL my workout for today is "20 minutes to look good naked" - how can that not inspire you??? and they have motivational posters in the rests... and the instructors do the whole thing instead of letting the background people do it while they stand there and talk (which annoys me :P)
If you are going to do Hasfit - don't skip the warmup. They have a dynamic warm up that is super easy (about 5 minutes) I sometimes add a few moves (like high knee marching with the arm swing at the end... a few high kicks or running on the spot while he blabbers on at the start)... but you REALLY don't want to do those killer 6 minutes on cold muscles!!! They also have a lovely stretch routine for afterwards - about 15 minutes - but I almost never get to do the whole thing because SOMEONE always wants me to stop... so I just do a few now and then - you will need them LOL I did the lovehandles / obliques 6 minutes on Friday - and can still feel them complaining on Sunday!
I have 9 days to go and then I will probably start again if you want to do it with me. If you are really keen, I will skip the rest days and we can start together next Sunday? I am going to repeat the 30 day challenge one more time, then I am going to attempt the 90 day! WOOOT!!!! It's so easy - just dumbells and your body and a few minutes each day.... COME ON! JOIN ME! YOU CAN DO IT - TONE, BABY, TONE! RUNNING ALONE WON'T GIVE IT TO YOU!!! AND IT WILL MAKE YOU RUN FASTER AND STRONGER Program it so your busy days in the real world are the rest days - Mine are Thursday and Saturday, so I just shuffle the rest of the workouts across to match that pattern.
I did the cinnamon and honey thing every day for two weeks - be SUPER careful about the quality of the cinnamon you buy. I ended up giving up on it - apparently a lot of ground cinnamon is actually ground up cassia bark - which is a liver toxin in large / regular doses. I bought cinnamon bark and ground my own, but I still started to feel a bit nauseous drinking it, so I decided to back off from the big amounts... just grind a little bark onto muesli etc and have a teaspoonful of honey when I want a sweet treat, rather than drinking it regularly. I need to get back on the apple cider vinegar - I really liked that. I have gotten onto the coconut oil now - mmmmmmm love the stuff! I lick the spoon when I put some in the saucepan to scramble eggs... reminds me of chocolate crackles!!!
Marie Isobel - born safe and well, 7:07 on June 7 :D anaesthetic wearing off slowly and I am sore but otherwise great - got my way with no narcotics :P now if I could just get a cuppa tea!!! Marie already feeding and sleeping well - she's perfect & the boys are loving her!
