I've got my ticket for the 5% Spring Weight Loss Challenge. I'm on the Weight Warriors team.

My 5% Commitment: with 30 minutes of daily exercise, and eating fresh food, cooked at home, eating between 1,450 - 1,800 calories, I will lose 12 pounds in 8 weeks.

My motivation: to live a more active life. I don't want my weight to hold me back from any adventure. I want to hike, kayak, bicycle ride, and have beach days this summer.

I plan to use the food tracker so I know how much I'm eating and can watch for patterns. I'm going to cook more meals at home and try new things.

Remember the opening song on the Mary Tyler Moor show (1999)? "You can have the town, why don't you take it. You're going to make it after all." Hat thrown in the air. That's my theme song for 2017.
