My 2012 Journey

I started my sparkpage again after using it in 2009. It has been a great experience. I have had a lot of support, and have really done well in my weightloss journey this year. I am down 11 pounds since the first of the year. I feel great, I look great, and I am happy. Thank you to everyone for your support.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 40 pounds this year. I just turned 40 and am having a really hard time with that. I want to beinthe best shape of my life and make 40 just a number.

My Program:
I went through the first month of insanity. I did very well, and think it is an excellent program. The second month was a little too tough on my knees so I changed to p90x, and mountain biking, hiking, and running. I am doing great with this routine.

Personal Information:
I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I just started mountain biking last year and love it. I pretty much love all outdoor activities hiking, swimming, etc...

Just wondering how your leg is doing and if you were able to get out for a ride last night. Don't be getting all discouraged if it is still hurting you. As we get older....it takes longer to bounce back...lol. Yep....calling you an old lady!!! But you have the spirit of a 20 yr old. I decided to get back with my workout again because my ab muscle seems to have healed ok, but I decided to start with the lean program, so yesterday I did the core synergestics and the cardio X today. I don't think I'm going to do the Ab ripper for awhile. I know I won't get the full effect of the workout but I think by just doing all the rest, my core will get stronger and then I can add Ab ripper later. I'm just not in as good of shape as you are.....except my leg doesn't hurt!!! I'm stupid with that Dreya Roll routine. I do ok going down and all, but I can't just spring up to a standing position at the end. I have to get up old lady style...lol. My fat tummy gets in my way I think or else it's my bad knees. In time I'll get there.

I don't want to sound like one of those "non-mountian biker" people, but don't push yourself so far that you do real harm to yourself. You'll be out longer and that pout on your face might become permanent!!! You are such a determined lady..... your mom sure had her hands full raising you I bet!!!
Take care of yourself girl. Some of us care what happens to you.

Did you fall down another mountianside???? Do you need help getting to your car???? Are you ok??? or are you just taking time off to admire all your bruises??? Maybe your mom found out what an extreme biker you are and you are in hot water!!!
Hope all is well.....I'm just not use to missing your exercise updates. Miss that.

"happy Easter" and "chest, back & ab ripper x" should not be used in the same sentence....lol. They cancel each other out!!!

I haven't done mine yet but I'm anxious to see some improvement in my form in doing some of the routines. I'm feeling stronger but abs are still sore??? not sure why. Hope nothing is pulled in there. Gotta do that ab routine today though.
