recent photo of me (Sept. 18, 2009)

I took this for future reference so I can see how far I've come, but it's not fun for me to look at now!

This was me in college when I weighed around 165-170 lbs. I like how much healthier I looked then.

Uncovering the real me
I'm at the very beginning of a long journey to lose weight and change my life for the better. I guess you could call me a yo-yo dieter: I've lost weight in the past (up to 40 pounds) and gained it all back. Even though I always lost weight the healthy way with no fad diets, I always went back to overeating and no exercise. I'm determined to never give up, though, and this time I want to make a concerted effort to change my relationship with food, so I don't feel the desire to binge eat.

My Goals:
I want to be the weight my body was built for, so I can be healthy and have more confidence. I also need to develop a proper relationship with food and focus on my health more than appearance.
My Program:
Eat between 1300-1600 calories a day. Exercise 20 minutes, 5 days a week, and gradually increase length of workouts.
Personal Information:
I'm a 28-year-old single woman living in Denver, CO. I'm working on getting my masters degree in Library and Information Science. I love movies, books, video games, friends and wine!
Other Information:
I'm hoping to be at or near my goal weight by the time I graduate with my master's in May 2012.
