This is where I want to be in 30 years. Happy, healthy, thin, and with a good man at my side. The first, being happy, and the last having a good man, I've already accomplished. MY SP friends will help me accomplish the thin and healthy. I hope not to take 30 years to acquire them though.
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders and says, "Oh no, she's awake.
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.
"When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly." -Edward Teller

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. Randy Pausch 2008
'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'
When I've eaten too much and can't write it down, And feel like the biggest failure in town. When I want to give up just because I gave in, And forget all about being healthy and thin. SO WHAT! I went over my servings/points a bit, It's my next move that counts...So don't quit! It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change. It's learning the skills to get back in my range. It's telling myself, "You've done great up till now. You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow." It's part of my journey toward reaching my goal. I'm still gonna make it, just stay in control. To stumble and fall is not a disgrace, If I summon the will to get back in the race. But, often the struggler's when losing my grip, Just throw in the towel and continue to slip, And learn too late when the damage is done, That the race wasn't over...I still could have won. Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow, But facing each challenge will help me grow. Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint in a cloud of doubt. When I've pushed to the brink, just refuse to submit, If I bite it, I write it...But I won't QUIT! author unknown
My Goals:
My goal is to get to my Real Age. I've gone from 63.5 in 2006 to 56.3 today. I'll be 54 in October so I still have some changes to make.
For the last 5 months that I've been at SP I'm still doing things my way. My new, self help goal is to work this program the way it's suppose to be done. Log everything, be it food, fitness or feelings. It didn't work my way for 50+ years, Why would I think ................?????
My Program:
In the last 4 years I've quit smoking, reduced my alcohol consumption and started at least 15 weight loss programs. I think I may have finally found the "trick"...........
THE TRICK BEING.......
Follow SP diet plan!!! One step at a time! SP set it up this way for a reason! Now, JUST DO IT! and KISS ME! (keep it simple sexy- Meals + exercise!
After 2 years with SP I'm down 60 #. Things happen the way they are suppose to, I guess 60 isn't a bad number because I do feel a lot better. My knees and back don't hurt near as much. So I'm still trying to do things my way.....I got stuck on phase 2 and never went any further. so my promise to me is to finish Phaze 3 & 4! This year. My thrid year should put me a little more ahead.

My name is Debra, but sign everything D, and the wa1wok after my name is my husband's ham radio call sign. I know no one else in the world will have the name so you can find me at different sites. That name on a website, will ALWAYS be me. I live in southern New Hampshire on Pawtuckay lakeWhich is a state park. I'm on a dirt road 1/2 mile back in the woods. I wouldn't trade my little .3 acre space with anyone or for anything. I know what 'heaven on earth' means, when I'm sitting on my deck watching the hummingbirds and listening to the water trickle in the pond that my hubby made for me. Life is good!
Other Information:
My summer hobbies are spending time on the lake, hanging with my pups, yard sailing( (I 'sail 'through alot of sales on the weekends) and enjoying the creature comforts of home. My winter hobbies are "locker hooking" rugs, embroidering quilt tops, and spending way to many hours in WEB land. I think there is just to much sitting going on in the winter. LOL.

Hey Deb, Just cruising through the site and thought I'd stop by. You've had great weather for the boat this summer. Sure hope you've been able to indulge. As always, I'm up to my eyeballs in work. Didn't take a vacation ,but if I had followed my plan, last week with all the rain would have been my vacation week. Just proves why I shouldn't take vacations. Tim is doing well. Finally got a job at Walmart and after 3 months was asked to work full time. He must be doing something right.
Hey hun, I know you are still around somewhat, just figured you were on your boat. Hope you are enjoying your summer! Stay in touch when you can, I think about you often and hope you are doing okay! Hugs!
