It's Never Too Late!

always thought of my self as "fat, healthy and happy" until the doctor hit me with test results this year that my triglicerides were too high! I was on the "stroke path"! No way, I was not ready for that, God has alot more for me to do here on this earth. So I got a Walk off the pounds DVD and went at it!
Lost 25lbs! and my triglicerides went down 100 pts.! Praise the Lord!

My Goals:
My goal is to get healthy. To be able to play with my two grandchildren without getting out of breath. To walk by faith and not by sight, everyday for the rest of my life!

My Program:
started with Walk off the Weight the end of February when my doc told me that my rates were high and it was time for me to be more active and loose weight. Before that I was fooling myself thinking I was "fat and healthy" What a joke!

Personal Information:
Born and raised in Miami, FL. Moved to Tallahassee in 1978. Have worked for the State of Florida for over 30 yrs. Retire in 2 1/2 years! Been married to Bruce for 37 years, one son and two wonderful grandchildren.

Other Information:
Love the Lord with all my heart! Go to an awesome church, Restoration Place of Tallahassee.

Thanks for the kind words! You know, I am exercising more now than at ANY point in my life!! Better late than never! I did hear on the radio and then read an article lately that said that at 46 minutes our bodies start fighting the effects of working out...so 30-45 minutes a day is more than enough...I thought that was interesting. I do 30 min 5-6 days a week -

Thanks for the comment. All I can say is just stick to it. The only way I have lost so much is by buckling down and putting in the hard work. Either way a loss is a loss and that's all that matters. Good luck on your journey!! emoticon

So happy to hear from you! I added you as a friend. I started out doing the American Heart website with free Leslie Sansone videos. Couldn't even do a mile the first couple of times! When I knew I was going to stick with the program I ordered "Walk Away the Pounds Express" I just bumped it up to 4 miles last week. My goal is 20 miles a week now. I'm trying to get under 200. So I'm really trying to log my calories and keep a calorie deficit. I also bought the LS dvd where you jog and work up to 5 miles. I gotta lose more to tackle that one. Tried it once and it put me out of commission for a couple of days.lol Nice to meet you and thanks so much for your kind words!
