My name is Debbie and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have a wonderful husband and 2 step children - that I have fallen in love with. We have 9 grandchildren. ( I say grandchildren because step grandchildren just sounds too funny. )
I am a Christian and me and my stepdaughter go to church every week with her kids. It sure uplifts me.

My Goals:
I want to lose 18 pounds to start with.

I lost my 18 lbs - 6/15/12 Yipee.

New goal to lose 9.1 and be down to 290.

I hit 290 even 280 so now my goal is 270. 10/21/12.

Eat fruits and veggies everyday.

Exercise 3 times a week.

My Program:
I started a new food plan because the word diet has "die" in it.

Been tracking my fitness minutes.

Walking with my husband 3 times a week.

Personal Information:
I have doxie and he is so funny and cute. I try to walk him but he gets so excited he won't quit pulling his leash tight and even chokes himself.

Other Information:
I have sure enjoyed Spark People and have found inspiration and support here. Thank you.

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
