Hi! The 2 best books (in my opinion) for weight loss/healthy living that have a Christian perspective are: Made to Crave by Lysa TerKeurst, and Look Great, Feel Great by Joyce Meyer.
You can do a lot of different workouts at home! For a beginner, you could use the workout generator here on Sparkpeople. Or if you are looking for a DVD, I love the Turbo Jam DVDs (from Beachbody.com). That's how I started my love of fitness! Also, the Biggest Loser workouts are great, as well as the "10 Minute Solution" workouts. You could fit those in around your 2 year old's naps!
