Hi - I'm a single mom raising 3 boys, I have 2 dogs, 2 cats - very busy household. I've done well with just exercise now the time has come that I need to watch what and when I eat! I am on here because I need support that I have not found in my day to day life. I'm encouraged by others success stories and hope to work more on my spark page in 09.

2/28/09 Reading everything possible on here daily has helped me so much. I've been able to focus on why and when I eat. During the week 2-4 is a tough time for me. I was always a late night snacker but I've managed to control that by sleeping! I've also found that not getting on the scale is not helping me. Putting it off constantly is not keeping myself accountable and I need that reality check of where I am.

Thank you everyone that has poured out their heart about their efforts, failures and successes because seeing it happen makes it a reality! Good luck to everyone!!

Fitness Minutes: 62,474

My Goals:
I have 22 pounds to go in '09.

It's April and I'm still not at 150 however my new goal is to lose 5 pounds - thats it, just 5 for now and then I'll work on the next 5.

2nd round of exercise at night - walk or bike for a ten mile total per week
weigh in weekly!

journal my feelings - putting it on paper takes it off of my mind and heart!

journal my meals - really keeps me in check!

stay between 1200-1500 calories

My Program:
I exercise every morning by doing turbo jam this is my lifestyle - I've been doing it for years & have only missed one day!

Eating right! I read great abs are made in the kitchen - it's been very inspiring to see other moms achieve their goals!

Planning my meals, when I don't I'm in trouble. I eat anything and everything... I can do a lot of damage in a short time!

Personal Information:
I live in a NY suburb & dream of moving to a warmer climate with a beach! Until then I will count down the days until spring and enjoy the jersey shore as much as possible. Have fun, I have fun every day - meet everything with a smile it just makes life pleasant.

    Thanks. You can do it...we all can. One thing I like to do now, and it's easy really...stand up during your tv shows and just walk in place...grab some dumbells or something if you want and you can do arm exercises too while walking. You can walk in place like normal, make your legs go wide and walk, you can do kicks, etc...all in the living room while watching your fav can walk faster if your not getting a good workout, or slower if you start hurting, it's all at your own pace.
