Hello everyone and welcome to "Project Improvement". I have been on this journey with Sparkpeople since February 2009 and I can say that it may be one of the most enlightening times of my life. I have learned so many things and am thankful to Sparkpeople for all of it. I believe the most important thing I have learned is to love myself and do what is best for me. Not to be so hard on myself and to put one foot in front of the other to reach my goal. It is amazing how many people share the same focus and how many resources there are to draw from. I know how far I've come and how far I need to go, but more than anything, I know that I can count on Sparkpeople and all those on it to help me through my journey.

My Goals:
My goals are to eat healthy, drink more water, lose 50 pounds, and stay positive and motivated.

My Program:
I am logging into Spark People everyday. I use the food and exercise tracker. I use the site as much as possible to find motivational articles and others who I have things in common with.

Personal Information:
I am a 55 year old (yes, I can say my age!) married woman. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years now. I was born in Iowa but have lived in Minnesota, Indiana, New Mexico, North Carolina,and Michigan. We just recently moved back to New Mexico and hope that we can stay put for a while! I have 3 children, and 3 beautiful granddaughters. I love to travel, read, browse art museums, and be anywhere near the water!

    Just popping by, hope your family is well. It is BBBBRRRYYY cold here in NC today, only 25 degrees as I headed out for work.
    Planning on a quiet New Year's at home with hubby, both been recovering from flu or cold, not sure which.

    Hey Deb, How have you been? Any new happenings with you?
    My Dr threatened me with needing to take insulin shots ---guess you could say you scared me out of my wits. Finally got really serious about my weight & have lost 9#s so far this year. It's coming off slowly, but at least it's coming off.

    Hi , stopping by to see how your doing. We are on vacation ---actually heading up to meet our new granddaughter & spend some time with her in the mountains of WV. Then later returning to Franklin, NC for a mini vacation with my DH. This is our first vacation in 3 years --- much earned I would say.
