Change is good!
I grew up always the skinny kid...even had the nickname 'boney butt' when I was little. By no means have I ever been really overweight...maybe by 20 pounds but by all appearances I am still 'tall and slender'. I have been on a health quest since September of 2011. While I have been a member since 2009, I was never consistent with my Spark time or my healthy choices. I got a little too comfortable being tall and slender and hiding those extra pounds with my height being 5'9" was easy. Then ...

By no means have I ever been really overweight...maybe by 20 pounds but by all appearances I am still 'tall and slender'. I have been on a health quest since September of 2011. While I have been a member since 2009, I was never consistent with my Spark time or my healthy choices. I got a little too comfortable being tall and slender and hiding those extra pounds with my height being 5'9" was easy. Then one day I noticed I had quite the muffin top and thunder thighs as well as back fat. Seeing my mom and sister struggle all the time with their weight I decided to do something before it got out of hand. So I kicked it into gear and started getting active and being mindful of what I put into my body. I love bread, pasta and sweets so those are my struggles. Thankfully I enjoy exercise and with the help of this site, I have come to discover and love certain fruits and veggies; something I was not a fan of before. This is my journey and thanks for choosing to be a part of it.

My Goals:
Eat healthy and be active every day...out of habit, not necessity.
My Program:
I am always changing what I'm doing. I have become a regular runner...which translates into at least 3 miles a few days a week and the occasional 5k or mudrun. I enjoy anything aerobic/dance oriented and tae bo. Boot camp is great but my knee cannot take all of the high impact jumping with squats and lunges. I love strength training and have done the Jamie Eason LiveFit trainer...am looking for another ST program currently. Oh, and I have several videos at home...I tend to get bored doing the same workout every day. Staying positive and keeping the Faith.

Originally from South Texas, now living ust outside of Fort Worth. New area, new people, new experiences.
Other Information:
I love a good underdog story. Crime dramas and reality tv are my pass-time guilty pleasures. Off again, on again reformed junk food junky.
