Hi, my name is Debi. After smoking for more than 40 years, I quit eleven months ago (11/22/12). I used junk food as a replacement for smoking which made me more tired, more unhealthy, and even more overweight.
I am working on a list of 60 goals I want to achieve (or at least be in the process of) by the time I reach the age of 60. I have one year.
I’m here to work toward accomplishing some of those goals on my way to achieving Sixty by Sixty.
* make healthy eating choices
* be comfortable in my clothes
* feel fit and have more energy
* feel better about myself
* set a good example for my children
* spend more time with my family
Married, and the mother of four grown children, I love to spend my days creating. I love pretty papers, lace, vintage jewelry and millinery. I love Marie Antoinette and French inspired art, mixed media, sewing, and scrapbooking. I am also a blogger. You can find me at www.lifeinmystudio.com.

Hope you had a great day counting your many, many blessings.
T’was the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn’t sleep. I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned, the dark meat and white.
But I fought the temptation, with all of my might.
Tossing and turning, with anticipation. The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door, and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey, and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling, so plump and so round, ‘til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of stuffing and a handful of pie.
But I managed to yell as I soared past the trees
Happy eating to all, pass the cranberries, please!!
Hope you had a wonderful day!!

Debi, Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
T for time to be together, turkey, talk and autumn weather.
H for harvest stored away, home and hearth and holiday.
A for autumn’s frosty art and abundance in the heart.
N for neighbors and November, nice things, new things to remember.
K for kitchen, kettle’s croon, kith and kin expected soon.
S for sizzles, sights and sounds, something special that abounds.
That spells THANKS – for joy in living! And a jolly good Thanksgiving!
I'm so very grateful to be on this journey with you!
