My BMI tells me I am obese, tho I only feel overweight! Who cares what label I have, I need to get in better shape. And maybe my high blood pressure will go down, too.
Wasn't really too motivated to get in shape til I saw SparkPeople! I was hooked in a day!
Started spark nov. 06 at 83 kilos.
As of Oct, 2007: no longer obese!!!!!(73,3 kilos)
Oct. 31, 2007: found a lump on my right breast
Nov. 15th, 2007 lumpectomy
dec. 4th started chemo

mar. 28th 08 done chemo and weigh 77 kilos!!! Yuck back to being obese!!!)

My Goals:
Maintain present weight while doing radiation or go down.
Eventually get down to 73 again.
My Program:
- walk 6000 steps a day
- drink 2-3 liters of water a day
-eat 6 fruits and veggies a day

I am from Pennsylvania, but have been living in Norway for 25 years!
I teach the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Other Information:
Like to knit (mostly socks and other small items that I can finish)
quilt (i am just a beginner, have made countless potholders and placemats!)
garden (organic, mostly herbs and vegetables, tho in recent years I have been getting interested in lupines, fuchsias and sunflowers.
read - I read a whole lot! Some favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Elizabeth George, Maeve Binchy, Barbara Pym, Marion Keyes, Jane Austen.
Live on a little farm near the sea, right now we have a (fat) dog that gets lots of walks, a cat, a rabbit, and about 6 hens. Norwegian hubby and 2 kids.
