I decided to start anew and reset my goal ticker again in 2016. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and some heart issues. As of Jan. 2014, they are all under control with medication. Hopefully, by losing more weight, I can eventually cut down on some meds. 2014 ended on a bad note when my dad passed away in November. 2015 was the Year of the Concert for me & my husband.
I have kept off 45 lbs. and am happy to be under 200 lbs. Thanks to SparkPeople, I have the tools and the will power to do it! And, most of all, the support!
I want to lose weight and get fit! I want to be able to stop some of the medication if I eat better and improve my health.
I want to live to see grandchildren!
I will exercise 5 times per week and try to fit in little "mini sessions" whenever I can. I am committing to at least 25 minutes a day. NO computer time until the exercise is done!
I will not give in to emotional eating as I have done so many times in the past.
I will NOT eat past 9 PM.
I will plan my meals and track every little bite! If I ate it, I have to own up to it!
I am happily married to my high school sweetheart for 39 years. We have 2 adult sons.
I have lived on Long Island (NY) all of my life.
I hope to move to VA or NC when I retire. Or maybe CA near our older son.
I love reading Stephen King novels. Own most of them!
I enjoy sitting outside on my deck and walking by the lake in the preserve nearby. Watch Yankee baseball and like hockey too.
I like listening to a variety of music - I especially love The Cure, Usher, Ne-Yo, Lady Gaga, Steely Dan, Mary J. Blige, Elton John and I'm a huge John Lennon fan too.
