Food, fitness and fun for long term health and happiness ...

I'm a very active 40 something woman yet still I fight the battle of the bulge. I'd like to reach an optimum weight in order to improve my performance in my chosen sports. Currently I play ice hockey and lacrosse, and I also try to fit in crossfit and running. I will be participating in an international hockey tournament in France in May 2014 and I plan to drop 30 pounds before departure.

I fully believe that fitness needs to be fun and that there should be and can be enjoyment in eating healthy. I will be trying to follow a paleoish diet as I work towards my goal weight.
