Reaching My Goals

Kids grown, pets trained, love my work! But what the heck happened to my metabolism? I'm bound and determined not to let age plump me up. I know what's healthy and cook and eat that way - problem is I love my treats too - my goal is to cut down on unhealthy snacking and lose the extra 10 or 15 pounds that have crept up on me.

I'm a weight watchers drop out - after they changed to the new plan, I found it too convoluted to be meaningful in a lifestyle. While they used to teach you healthy eating for a life time, now they teach you how to keep paying into their plan because you can't get along without their computer generated point programs.

SO! Here I am. I've heard great things about spark. After one week I only lost .2 of a pound, but I'd been steadily gaining over the last couple months - so just not gaining felt good enough.

I read your comment on the daily spark about controlling cravings at dinner time. You said that you crave cookies and crackers. I found that mini semi sweet chocolate chips satisfy my sweet craving. I grab a few and let them slowly melt in my mouth. I also like unsweetened cocoa mixed in Greek yogurt (in the Nostimo brand honey is my favorite way).

Good luck on finding something that satisfies those cravings!
