Trying to find me again....

I am a married mother of a 6 yo boy and a 3 yo girl. My family is my everything. I'm here to find a balance between taking care of everyone else and taking care of myself.

Ever so slowly over the last 6 years weight as crept up while strength and endurance (which I used to have a lot of) have slipped away. I realize now I'm always tending to everybody elses needs before mine.

In order for me to be the best mother and role model possible for my kids I need to focus ...

I used to drive 140 miles to work and back, audio books made it possible, something else to think about besides the commute time and they helped keep me from falling asleep too. Now I listen when I'm exercising. I've started downloading MP3 audio books from the library website, I load them on my player and then copy them to a folder on my computer so I can listen when I'm ready. A lot of the books I want have long hold times and aren't always available when I'm ready for them. What kinds of books do you like?

Thanks for the goodie and your comments about my blog. The biggest surprise when talking to my doctor was her definition of processed food. I definitely wouldn't have put things like whole grain bread or yogurt into that category. I'm glad my husband likes to bake bread, he just bought some Montana Red Wheat to grind to make flour so I think that's going to definitely be whole grain and not processed.
