Trying to find me again....

I am a married mother of a 6 yo boy and a 3 yo girl. My family is my everything. I'm here to find a balance between taking care of everyone else and taking care of myself.

Ever so slowly over the last 6 years weight as crept up while strength and endurance (which I used to have a lot of) have slipped away. I realize now I'm always tending to everybody elses needs before mine.

Debb, thanks for your feedback on the Prairie Woman Strawberry Shortcake Cake. Yeah, I think my next cake will have stabilized whipped cream (either with gelatin as usual or maybe with some cream cheese). My husband is crazy about a particular bakery's cake, and it's a pain in the butt to have to drive there and then pay over $20 for the cake. Eventually I will hit upon a homemade version that is healthier and tastes at least as good as that confounded bakery cake.

I participated in carnival and had a wonderful time last month. June I plan to do a marathon actually it's next weekend.
