Doing nothing is very hard to do ... you never know when you're finished.- Leslie Nielsen

I Started SP the end of Jan. 2009. Briefly, I have always had some issues with my weight. I had had some success with diets, most notably WW where I was able to get down to 138 very briefly and settled into 143 comfortably. My lifetime WW weight goal was 153 which was easily bypassed at that time.

Sadly, I made the huge dieters mistake of thinking of it as something with a beginning and an end and once I was no longer tracking all my food and exercise I fell back into old habits.

So in the years after WW I struggled just to keep from zooming totally out of control.

When I found SP in Jan. I was determined that this was not a diet. A beginning yes....the first day of the rest of my life sort of thing....but no end....this is a healthy lifestyle quest and it has to be habits that last forever. So at this point, I haven't met my weight goal quite yet....I have met a lot of fitness and appearance goals and I have met myself metaphorically and I really like this new friend.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. You are right that I am very motivated to follow doctor's orders. I DO NOT want to sit in a wheelchair for six weeks again.

I wouldn't mind going for jury duty though I don't mind not going either. This month my life is less scheduled and, because of the holiday, there are fewer possible jury duty days.

Now, if only I could say my eating was not being affected by the extra stress. emoticon

It is in the moments of decision that our destiny is shaped.- A. Robbins

Life is filled with decisions and often times the difficult ones involve change. And although change means leaving our comfort zone and working out our problems so we can move forward in continual growth... it can make for learning who we are, an interesting and inspiring journey. Trust in the process. Embrace this part of life, and life will embrace you back•¨¯`💕

Thanks for commenting on my blog. It had crossed my mind that Molly was off the hook for a bit. I do walk her around the block but John does a walk with the two dogs later in the day. (Probably a plus for John too). We learned that I can't come even just to ride in the car because the dogs worry a lot about my whereabouts. I am trying to still maintain my 120 daily fitness minutes. Walking is just a very small component of that time now.

If I am not healed or at least well on the way, I will most likely have a stress fracture and be in the boot a whole lot longer. By the time I saw the doctor, I believed I had healed a bit so that was encouraging. I already feel I've had some improvement after two full days in the boot and that is even more encouraging.

Wouldn't you know Tony was the cause? He's a troublemaker even as he sleeps. LOL!!

Enjoy this fabulous day. It sounds like the weather will take a nose dive after this. I don't mind -- makes it so much easier to have to take a break from walking.

Thanks for your encouraging comments on my blogs!! The corn maze was a great way to spend a day in the beautiful weather we've been having. Definitely better than doing a scary one. I refuse to pay money to be scared.

I appreciate your encouraging comments about my caregiving. Often I just don't want to talk about it. I will admit, though, that may be part of the eating problem.

I didn't mention in the blog that the great grandson is back. That's a whole other level of worry.

Today is John's birthday. My plan is to preplan my meals and choose my snacks more carefully. We're going out for dinner and I am planning to make a lemon cream pie for him but I'll leave most of that for him to enjoy. Probably means an adult beverage too.

Sorry about the relationship between the parents. Unfortunately trauma and major drama contributes to it. Sorry the little guy has to go through so much.
Great that the grandpa is doing well and that you were able to talk him out of his funk.
Erik has been accepted to camp and we are planning on his going. But we are seeing the neurologist Thursday because Sunday he had a seizure, this week has not been a good week for him with weakness, dizziness etc.
His insurance company approved the Saebo Reach and will cover 80%-not too bad.
With all the things going on with Erik, I really miss my sister Nique. She was a nurse and for a while worked with a Neurosurgeon... Helped us when Erik had his accident and her-even though they had gone their separate ways when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
I'm glad Paul can talk to you. I'll continue praying for the family.
Love and prayers, emoticon emoticon emoticon .
