Doing nothing is very hard to do ... you never know when you're finished.- Leslie Nielsen

I Started SP the end of Jan. 2009. Briefly, I have always had some issues with my weight. I had had some success with diets, most notably WW where I was able to get down to 138 very briefly and settled into 143 comfortably. My lifetime WW weight goal was 153 which was easily bypassed at that time.

Sadly, I made the huge dieters mistake of thinking of it as something with a beginning and an end and once I was no longer tracking all my food and exercise I fell back into old habits.

So in the years after WW I struggled just to keep from zooming totally out of control.

When I found SP in Jan. I was determined that this was not a diet. A beginning yes....the first day of the rest of my life sort of thing....but no end....this is a healthy lifestyle quest and it has to be habits that last forever. So at this point, I haven't met my weight goal quite yet....I have met a lot of fitness and appearance goals and I have met myself metaphorically and I really like this new friend.

Had a great day. DH took me to Red Lobster for a late lunch and I didn't go over my planned cals. He also bought a 4" chocolate cake for me. I had half with a Dixie cup (ice cream)....even with that I did REALLY good. I guess wisdom does come with age....at least for today. LOL Freezing the rest of the cake for a later date. Have a great night and a good tomorrow....run safely. emoticon

Thanks for the suggestion for making cards, Donna. We have Windows 7. I will def check the hp.com. Dave hates for me to buy cards, but I love sending them!! SOME people do not have email, go figure....that would be HIS sisters!! lol! emoticon

Won't be eating any cake...but Wednesday I might have a dessert after going to Red Lobster....DH taking me there for B/D. We are looking at some stormy weather tonight/tomorrow. Hope we both stay safe with no outside damage. Last storm that blow through we watched our new windmill spinning and down went a section of our fence......had someone come in to braise it up until they can come back to fix it. Have a wonderful night and stay safe. emoticon

I have to admit I wasn't too surprised that you heard my voice.....way over there....cuz when I started thinking of cake/ice cream I heard your voice saying "deal" we were both committed ... you to safely run and me to stay away for the cake. WE are both winners and I know we will continue on this journey with confidence and a positive attitude. We will rest when we need to and keep making healthy choices. Have a great day.

My BF complains that he can't see me on race days because I'm too short. So I always have to wear bright colors. Last race he attended I had on a lime green shirt, orange arms warmer, and orange compression socks. I can't say that it did anything for my mood, but he was happy!
