Hi, I became a member to this site last year. However, I did not follow along with what I wanted to do. This time I"m going to give it all I got. I hope that I can really do it this time. I have been over weight, Obese or just plain FAT for about 16 yrs. now. Ever since I had my daughter in "91". I have my own business with my husband of 17yrs. We are both over weight, however he doesn't like to exercise or eat healthy. So, this in part can be a problem for me as well. I need the support, to help me when I'm having a bad day. Not that my husband is not supportive of me lossing the weight, but lets face it. He's a man who loves meat and potatoes. But he did say he would eat whatever I fixed for dinner. So, I guess it's really up to me!
I'm 35, going to be 36 this year, I live in beautiful southwest Texas. I hae a wounderful husband and a beautiful daughter. It's hard to think that I have let myself go this long without taking better care of myself. But when I'm taking care of my family and everyone else, I seem to push myself to the side. I have a hard time taking care of what I need and what I want for me. And that means I've put my health last before everyone and everything. So, by the time it comes to me, I just don't have the motivation or energy to do anything or the want to.
However, this is the first step in taking my life back and giving myself what I need and want. And that is to get back down to 150-160 lbs. Right now I weigh 295lbs, I have high blood pressure and am on meds for it, I'm on thyroid meds and my Triglycerides are through the roof. So that in a nut shell is a key factor of why I really need to stick to this program this time. I fear if I don't I never will and that means an early death for me.
And so I'll tell myself everyday from now on:
I CAN DO THIS AND I CAN WIN THE WAR!
- have a better sleeping pattern
-to loss the weight I want by Jan 2011
-to work out everyday for 30 minutes
-use my exercise equpiment and the Wii Fit
To stay on track with WEight Watchers PointsPlus, eating healthier and getting at least 30 mins of exercise every day.
Using my Wii Fit, treadmil, stationary bike and a Boflex. And of coarse DVD's.
I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and KS.
I love spending time with my family!
I am an owner of 3 dogs & 1 cat!
I live to love and love to live!
I like to sew, read Mystery novels and watch all kinds of movies.
And I read anything that has to do with vampires, werewolfs, witches, etc.! I just can't get enough of them.

Hey thanks for the comments! I'm from the Houston, Tx area! I hope to get back on the wagon with this diet stuff. I've lost 60 so far since February but I now have gotten back to eating like I used to and I don't need to do that!

Hi Dana. Welcome to the TBC team! So glad to have you on board! We can offer support, motivation and encouragement! I'm like you and have a tubby hubby who doesn't show much interest in exercising or eating right, but he has made some baby steps recently! There is always hope!
I have 1 dog who is my 1 and only baby! I also love mystery novels! Who are some of your favorite authors? I like the Kellermans, Stephen White, James Patterson and quite a few more!
