Believe it or not, I have been a member of SparkPeople quite some time. However, I have not actively done anything about my lifestyle change and weight loss other than joining and reading some of the blogs. Today was a good day; and the best day to begin becoming a new me!

I like many women am sick and tired of wearing the 20's. I found myself pulling away from my husband because of the absolute disgust I feel toward my body. How can you push away a many who loves you unconditionally????? Being overweight will make you push people away. Not happy with my body and unwilling to accept compliments because I cannot get past my own thoughts. I remember my mother telling me that I was my harshest critic. She had certainly hit the nail on the head.

The burden of my weight affected my ability to enjoy myself - and mingle with his friends. I cannot continue to avoid pictures or avoid looking at them once their taken because of my weight.

I am disgusted that my body image has been projected onto my daughter. She looks like me - in more ways that one! How can I worry about her health and weight, when I'm not doing anything to change me?????

Rome wasn't built in a day, nor did I become overweight overnight! I recognize that I have to crawl before I walk - walk before I run. Tracking and blogging will help me to take the baby steps required before I soar!

No excuses - I resolve to be a better me.
