Hello there, I'm Deanna. I'm 54, married work full time and care for my elderly mother and retired husband. This leaves me little time for myself so exercise has been on the backburner for a while. I recently started a new plan NSNG (No Sugar, No Grain) on March 28, 2016 which means incorporating more proteins back into my generally vegetarian diet. I suffer from headaches for years and once I hit menopause full time I found I had gained 10 lbs. No other amount of exercise or diet plans had worked for me, so I am trying NSNG and see if the headaches and weight issues go away. I am pretty healthy, but I want to make sure I stay that way since I have a lot of people relying on me to take care of them.

My Goals:
To shed 20 lbs, firm up and build a little muscle.

I was 110 most of my life, but got up to 140, (sitting behind a desk & going to school) and feel off. It is just not a comfortable weight for me, if you know what I mean.


My Program:
Treadmill - 30 minutes every other day

Les Mills Combat - 30 minutes every day

30 minutes of strength training twice a week.

Starting back on P90X after a self inflicted injury.



Personal Information:
Married, no children. 7 cats, 2 dogs & 6 koi. No, I swear I am not that crazy cat lady, just a sucker for a sad hungry furry face.


Other Information:
In my spare time...HA! I love going to the movies and reading. I am hooked on a couple of TV shows. Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, NCIS, NCIS New Orleans. I guess that is my dark side coming out, since I am usually pretty laid back.

I used to travel a lot but lately no time due to work pressures.

    I love the picture of the dog. I have a Weimaraner who never met a counter he couldn't surf. I can laugh now but the day he got the container of cashews, unscrewed the lid and ate a pound of them, I was rather angry. Picking all those cashews up in the yard wasn't pleasant either.
