New goals

Food: After cheating a lot over the holidays, I am back on track. Felt awful eating that way so I am happy to eat a quasi-paleo diet. I don't want to label it because I didn't have a label for my old habits. I just eat what I want to not because of some list of rules.

Fitness: Running, walking, hiking, biking for fun. Gave up Zumba as it hurts my knees.

My weight loss rewards list. Have to say that as I lose, I am not even caring about the rewards. I even changed ...

My weight loss rewards list. Have to say that as I lose, I am not even caring about the rewards. I even changed my last three to TBA because I don't care. Also, the goal pants that i was so wishing I could wear, are now too big. Also I hate the cut of them. Going to donate them to a thrift store.

*Update*** I did donate those pants. They were a burden when I didn't fit in them and then they were a burden after. I don't think goal clothes are a good idea. Not all clothes that fit me look good on me. Waiting months to wear something that doesn't look good anyway is pretty disappointing.

*Update*** I am leaving this up because it might help people think on nonfood rewards if they want a reward system. I found that I didn't really care about the rewards after a certain point. Feeling good is a good enough reward.
But I just might get that facial and massage anyway.... :)

ANGELIQUE2180: You didn't lose inches, you lost feet! That is awesome! Yes, I am looking forward to measuring again soon. Just seems like the best way to stay positive and see results.

Thanks for reading my randomness!

Inches are way important! And your right I can get hung up on the scale numbers too quick. I lost way more inches the second time around than the first time. The 50 I lost before my wedding was nothing like the 50 I lost after because of the strength training and body sculpting exercises.

I have decided that I must regularly purge my closet of too big clothes (Excuses to shop) lol! I told my friend we need a reality show to help people do this at this point, anything can go!!

Thanks! I am glad to encourage someone else. I've gotten so much encouragement from reading the comments of others. My latest little joy is a simple sleeping mask. My sister recommended that I try one. I spent $1.50 on it because I didn't think I would like it. I sleep so much better with it on. When I reach my next goal, I am going to find a little bit larger and better made mask for myself. emoticon

Liked your ideas about finding ways to slow things down and comfort yourself w/o food. I need to find some comfy slippers and music. Appreciate the reminder to put on music.
