A work in progress...

New intro: I've been a healthy, fit weight, I've been morbidly obese, and everything in between. In high school, I was thin and athletic. Through my 20's and 30's I became severely overweight, hitting an all time high of 337 pounds at age 38. I'm currently back down to size 8, from size 32, at age 43. I'm nearing my goal size (6) and quite nervous about switching from my weight loss program to a program of maintenance, as I've not ever, in my adult life, maintained my weight!

My Goals:
My general goal is to find and keep better health.

I've been setting mini goals all along. I've met them all so far. My current goal is my "eventual" goal...

My "eventual" goal is to be a size 6. I'm at 8 now.

My Program:
My program has changed...I'm still vegetarian, but I'm currently eating no sugar, no alcohol and not eating after 7 PM. I don't eat rice or pasta or bread for right now. I eat lots and lots of dark leafy greens and fresh vegetables, beans, soy, and lots of water.

For exercise, I'm doing all sorts of things! Classes at my gym (zumba, kick & sculpt, cardio & sculpt, circuit training, swimming) Switching it up and keeping my body guessing! At least an hour of something 5-6 days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in upstate New York with my husband of almost 25 years, and have my whole life. I've not traveled much, but would like to someday.

We have two talented artist young adult children, who we are very proud of.

Other Information:
I have found supportive people here, who spur me on to reach and maintain my goals...and I hope I can do that for some of you, as well!

It would be fun to meet up. Maybe this summer we can do that. We do come through that direction every now and then.

No. Actually, we're not REALLY upstate...most people consider anything north of NYC to be upstate. We're really more Central New York. Between Binghamton and Albany, about an hour to each. Two hours from Syracuse. It would, however, be cool to meet up, huh?

Do you live near Peak n Peak? We are coming there in Jan. for 3 days of skiing. When you said you lived in the snow belt, I wondered where you were and saw that you lived in upstate NY. Hope the snow is good for our vacation but maybe not quite as cold as it has been lately.
