I love the dirt!

I am a single mom of a teenager who thinks the world revolves around her. I am a dog-lover (4 babies) and love to boat, hike, kayak, garden......just be outdoors. I am looking to loose about 80 lbs to get back to pre-maternity size and need all the motivation I can find.

My Goals:
My goal is to get into a bathing suit for the first time in about 20 years and actually look good. I plan to have a tummy tuck once I hit my goal and will be looking FINE!!

My Program:
I am currently working about 30 minutes a few times a week on my Bowflex Treadclimber and trying to get into the habit of dog walking just to clear my head and give myself some private time back.

Personal Information:
I am originally from New Orleans, home of really GREAT food and go back every chance I get. Of course, crawfish and shrimp are not the greatest for someone with cholesterol issues, but it's just soo good. I am employed as a scientist and have a Master's in Forensic Science. I love to read, birdwatch, hike, kayak, canoe, boat........pretty much am up to trying anything outdoors. One of my goals is to enter and finish a 5K, even though I have never run before.

Other Information:
I am training as a Falconer and have had the incredible opportunity to handle a red-tailed hawk and barn owl so far. I am working my way up to the bald eagles. These are some gorgeous birds, especially up close.

I just started yesterday and was surprised I could finish it. I had just finished 30 day SHRED with Jillian Michaels and had not exercised before that.

Welcome to Gastric Bypass Sparklers! You’ll find plenty of support and encouragement here. No question is too stupid to ask, so post away and we’ll all put in our two cents worth. Utilize all the tools SP has to offer. I find tracking my food and exercise most helpful. Good luck on your weight loss journey!
