I am glad you have some things you have kept.Like you I just had too much of my own to keep it all.My FIL loved hummingbirds and said they brought blessings so I thought it wonderful you had chosen to keep a hummingbird ornament. It sounds like you found good homes for lot of things and the things you are donating will go to good homes too.People do want those things. It just seemed heartless to me that someone said noone wants your parents things.I still love yard sales and I often take home treasures.I still remember shortly after we were married Kayleigh was a baby so we had been married about 3 years and she was a preemie so we had a lot of expenses I went to a yard sale and this man had a 1908 sewing machine a treadle sewing machine it was in a case with all the attachments even the instruction book and I was admiring it but I really didn't think I could afford it.This elderly man told me he had bought it new for his wife when they married this was 1986!!!!! so you can imagine his age ,he said do you sew I said yes but I don't think I can afford this.He said 20 dollars and it is yours. My Mum brought me up to be honest I said "Sir it is worth way more than that" he said"I only have sons their Mum is gone for many years now and their wives aren't interested.I go into a veteran's home next week .I want it to go to someone who will love it.I saw the base sticker on your car 20 dollars and it is yours."That Singer sewing machine is still in my sewing room.I oil the wood on it twice a year .I sew on it once a month so the motor won't seize. It still works like the day I got it.When it went into storage when we went to Germany it needed special insurance for 1800 dollars. That is of course a special treasure but I have other things depression glass and other things from yard sales.

Last week WIllie Nelson had a concert in Bentonville, AR. Technically I guess he performed for the audience but his playing is almost as good as his singing. LOL
